Bolivia is a Republic since August 6, 1825. It is the heart of Latin America. It has nine states, La Paz, Oruro, Potosi, Cochabamba, Chuquisaca, Tarija, Beni, Pando and Santa Cruz.

There are 36 indigenous peoples en Bolivia and according to the last census in 2001 most of 60% of the population identifies as being part of one of these indigenous peoples.
